Welcome to our Best of the Fests page!

This page is intended to help prospective festival goers and filmmakers choose the best festivals. The views expressed are based on our experience attending the festivals regardless of whether SPACE AVAILABLE was a winner or not. A rating of Five Stars is the best. We hope you have a great experience at your festivals too!

RiverRun International Film Festival - April 22-25, 2004 - NCSA Campus, Winston-Salem, NC

An awesome festival! Great for filmmakers. Great setting, great films, great people. This is a must-attend festival.

We can't say enough about the excellent networking opportunities, outstanding films and unparalleled hospitality.

Fort Myers Beach Film Festival - April 29-May 2, 2004 - Fort Myers Beach, FL

A great time! Great experience for filmmakers. Excellent networking in an intimate and fun setting.

This is a small festival with a big heart. Top quality Indie films with stunning variety and boldness.

Tupelo Film Festival - May 14-15, 2004 - Tupelo, MS

Great festival! Very filmmaker friendly. Led by a great guy, Ron Tibbett, who tragically passed away two weeks after this year's event.

Arizona International Film Festival - April 15-25, 2004 - Tucson, AZ

Very filmmaker friendly with excellent films. Spread out venues detract a bit.

Artivist Film Festival - April 22-28, 2004 - Hollywood, CA

Can't ask more than to play in front of 600 at the Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Blvd!

This festival is quite a sight to see but more about the issues than the art.

    First Glance 7 Film Festival - June 3-6, 2004 - Philadelphia, PA

Great because of the extensive promotion put on by Andrea Defabio. Newspaper and radio interviews, unlike any other festival we've attended.

We were also impressed with the high quality of the films.

Pocono Mountains Film Festival - July 7-10, 2004 - Tannersville, PA

Very fun with excellent films. This festival has an excellent future.

Could be more filmmaker friendly but great contacts to be had.

Chateau Resort location overpriced and poor quality. It is our understanding that this will likely change next year.

Due to other commitments, we were unable to attend the following festivals, so they are not rated.
